Role Purpose
- The Senior Legal Specialist will be in charge of addressing litigation, designing and negotiating supply chain contracts, managing intricate business transactions, providing competition law advice, and settling labor relations issues. Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Deals: Oversee and direct intricate business deals, such as joint ventures, mergers, and acquisitions, as well as strategic alliances.
- Supply Chain Contracts: Create, examine, and negotiate supply chain agreements while making sure they adhere to legal and corporate guidelines.
- Litigation: Coordinate with outside counsel, create litigation strategy, and represent the business in court as part of your oversight and management of litigation concerns.
- Competition Law: Offer knowledgeable counsel on matters pertaining to competition law, guarantee adherence to antitrust laws, and resolve associated conflicts.
- Employee grievances, legal assistance, and assuring adherence to labor regulations are all part of addressing and resolving labor relations conflicts.

Qualifications, Core competencies, Knowledge and Experience
- A graduate of an accredited university with a bachelor’s degree in law,
- A Tanzanian High Court and its subordinate courts’ registered advocate with at least five years of experience.
- Strong familiarity with labor relations, competition law, contract law, litigation, and commercial law
- Proficiency in managing intricate business and commercial initiatives or transactions
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with a high degree of computer knowledge
- Outstanding interpersonal and negotiating abilities, as well as a business- and customer-focused mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, proficiency in both English and Kiswahili, and the capacity to collaborate with others on the team
- The capacity to oversee several projects and adhere to deadlines in a hectic setting.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- At least five (5) years of experience in a comparable position, ideally in-house at a major corporate law practice that provides legal services, an FMCG company, or the telecommunications sector.
