Main Responsibilities:

  • Offer SME enterprises loans, deposits, and cross-selling opportunities for other bank products (such as Internet banking, fund transfers, and forex).
  • Assess SME assets, onboard them, and offer suggestions for choices.
  • Give the senior manager of business banking advice on all matters pertaining to the growth of the commercial enterprise (liabilities & assets).
  • Lead the charge in increasing SME sales through networking, fostering good customer connections, and running pertinent promotions through the branch network.
  • To guarantee high-quality credit applications and business expansion, provide relationship officers with ongoing coaching and engagement to support and develop their capacity.
  • To make sure that goals are reached, track and evaluate the performance of the SME portfolio.
  • To determine whether a revision, redesign, or relaunch is necessary, examine market intelligence, consumer input, reports from workshops and focus groups, and product design and performance.
  • To guarantee that goals are met in accordance with the authorized budget, coordinate the budget objectives of the responsibility area for SME goods.
  • By giving them precise sales advice that meets their expectations, you can make sure that they are satisfied.
  • Create the budget and projections for the SME product segment. In order to benefit from loan and deposit products, the budget should include a list of current, potential, and prospective clients.
  • Carry out additional tasks as given or ordered by his or her line manager.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good credit analysis skills.
  • Good customer relationships and sound understanding of the bank’s loan products, policies, and procedures.
  • Conversant with standard computer applications (Excel, Word, and Access).
  • Good communication skills with high proficiency in the use of both English and Kiswahili.
  • Business management, leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in banking, accounting, finance, or a similar discipline is required.
  • At least five years of experience managing relationships with clients in business and commercial banking
  • Proficiency in Credit Evaluation and Analysis.
