Job Purpose:
- In charge of the bank’s performance, management, and development of mobile banking products while maintaining product profitability.
Main Responsibilities:
- Creating, carrying out, and overseeing the project schedule and plan for Mkononi, the bank’s main digital product.
- Provide branches and all important stakeholders with adequate training, awareness, and communication of new mobile banking capabilities prior to their public introduction.
- Verify that all new features for mobile banking products are authorized, compliant with rules and regulations, customer-focused, and priced in accordance with industry norms.
- Make sure that the framework for reporting new products and monitoring the mobile banking platform aligns with the budget, goals, and projections of the bank.
- Examine, control, and pinpoint any system issues that impact the functionality of the mobile banking platform. Then, recommend areas for improvement, secure approvals for those changes, and make sure the authorized additions or modifications are put into effect on schedule.
- Work with important stakeholders to keep an eye on the quality of mobile applications and make sure they stay under the acceptable bank threshold.
- Contribute significantly to the development of retail banking mobile applications, conduct ongoing market research on emerging technologies and consumer trends, and suggest enhancements to existing products.
- During the launch of new or current products on the platform, manage internal relationships with key stakeholders and business partners in accordance with the needs of the customers and the bank’s risk appetite.
- Periodically (quarterly, semi-annually, or annually) review competitors’ offerings in relation to retail digital items.
- Directing the Non-Interest Income program to make sure that revenue from digital channels aligns with the authorized budget and providing guidance to sales and digital product teams.
- Being proactive in spotting and promptly resolving problems with mobile applications.
- In charge of improving and redesigning products’ features as necessary to make sure they correspond with consumer demands and industry rivalry.
- Oversee communications with the ICT team, retail business teams, and wholesale business teams to comprehend and convert market demands and new digital products into creative digital product solutions that satisfy consumer expectations and management strategic goals.
