Assure timely, complete, and cost-effective delivery of all project activities within the Project Streams. Do not forget to notify the Project Site Execution Manager (PSEM) of any deviations from the execution timeline. In addition to coordinating and leading all contract administration planning and engineering review initiatives related to the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Contractor in delivering a successful project in compliance with the Contract and Employers Requirements, assist them in achieving a successful project execution outcome.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and agree with the EPC Contractor on the engineering review processes and procedures for the project, ensuring efficient and accurate outcomes and decisions.
- Identify the employer’s appropriate resources and manage the interface of information flow efficiently back to the EPC contractor; record all feedback
- Develop and agree with the EPC Contractor the detailed format of the program schedule and project progress and develop reports to feedback to the PSEM and Project Director
- Ensure no basis for an EPC Extension of Time or Variation in cost claim due to engagement processes & decisions
- Fully understand the execution programme status, risk and variances
- Implement planning and scheduling tools and review processes within the Employers Team
- Tracks and monitors all witness and hold point activities identified in conjunction with the Project Site Execution Manager (PSEM) and ensures all resources are timeously mobilised
- Co-ordinate and consolidate inputs and provide concise feedback to relevant stakeholders
- Co-ordinate verified changes to the project scope, schedule and costs
- Coordinate the 3rd party milestone approval process to meet payment schedules. Duties, levies and penalties early warning payment to Finance to avoid an extension of time claimed if delayed
- Understand the EPC contract responsibilities, accountabilities and contractual obligations are transparent, fully understood and communicated to all stakeholders
- Ensure contractual written documents are reviewed by Legal Counsel prior to submission to the Contractor, and all contractual notices received are timeously escalated for action
Job Qualification and Experience:
- A degree in project management or engineering.
- Five or more years of experience working in a manufacturing or heavy engineering setting.
- Extensive expertise managing EPC projects and implementing processes.
- Shown expertise with Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD, and MS Project.
- The capacity to operate in a deadline-driven, high-pressure setting.
- The capacity to operate in a multicultural setting.
